Printronix T4M - Getting the IP Adress
Small walkthrough on how to obtain the IP Address from a Printronix T4M Thermal Printer.
- Switch the printer on, and wait for it to initialise and for the display to read online.
- Press the green button to set the printer to an offline condition.
- Press the menu button, the display should change and show the various setup icons, at this point you will see media setup in the top line of the display, and the media setup icon will be highlighted.
- Press the down button, the interface icon will be highlighted and the top line of the display will change to Interfaces.
- Press return, the icons will disappear and a new screen will appear.
- Press the down button once to highlight the next line in the display (ethernet settings) and press return to enter the ethernet settings submenu.
- The IP address will be the next menu item to be highlighted, make a note of it at this point for you need to pass the details on to network support
- Pressing the down arrow will scroll down to the Subnet address and pressing it again will show the Gateway and then the MAC address. You may want to make a note of these also
- To go back a level or more, or to escape from this mode press the X button until you get back to the icon screen then press the online button.
