Printronix T4M - Changing Media Settings

Why bother

If you are having any issues with printing your labels one of the first things to always do is to check/set your media values correctly for the size of labels you are using. Doesing this can often cure a multitude of strange printing errors (such as missing fields etc.)

• Switch the printer on, and wait for it to initialise, when the display will read online.

• Press the green button to set the printer to an offline condition.

• Press the menu button, the display should change and show the various setup icons, at this point you will see media setup In the top line of the display, and the media setup icon highlighted.

• Press return to enter the media submenu

• Scroll down using the down button until label length is displayed

• Change the value to suit your media length by using the left and right buttons then press return, an asterisk will appear next to your selection e.g. (25mm*)

• Scroll down to the next value you need to change (label width) then use the left and right keys to change the value to one that suits. e.g. (50mm*)

• Press return so the asterisk appears next to your chosen value. Return to the Icon menu anytime by pressing X

To save your changes

• Press offline then menu key

• Scroll to the configuration icon and press enter

• Use the left and right buttons to select a configuration to save to, Save config: 1 as an example

• Press return. Printer will display saving configuration

• Load your new config, scroll to the config you wish to load, config 1 as an example and press return, Loading saved configuration will display

• Press the X and return the printer online and test
