Ricoh - IBM Infoprint Announcement
On August 2nd Ricoh announced to its EMEA solution partners that: “Today, August 2nd, 2011 InfoPrint Solutions announce the withdrawal from marketing of InfoPrint branded Workgroup, Industrial and Cutsheet products effective as of December 30th, 2011.”
Whilst the letter pledges support to continuing rollouts and states that they “will” continue to provide products and support until December 30th 2011, however, specifically in the UK no more orders will be accepted after Friday 15th October 2011.
What does this actually mean: With immediate effect Ricoh are withdrawing IBM Infoprint from the market specifically its Line printers, Thermal printers and lower-end laser printer devices.
Datatrade Commitment to Supply and Support: As the Line and Thermal printers from IBM Infoprint were OEM’d from Printronix, Datatrade can and will continue to support and supply compatible printers for the IBM Infoprint range.
