On the 29th January 2009 The UK subsidiary of Tally Genicom was put into receivership due to the American parent company being put under a chapter 11 insolvency ruling in the USA.
Mark James, Managing Director Datatrade, says:
"Datatrade have since then, and will continue to offer full services for all Tally Genicom products, including Maintenance, consumables and spares.
The only service that we can not offer at this time is the fulfilment of warranty, as this is with Tally Genicom itself and is not currently being honoured.
While our understanding is that several options are available for the continuing future of Tally Genicom products, we undertake to provide whatever services are required for our customers, during this period of uncertainty while the future of the company is being decided".
